The Leo’s Club of International School Brunei (ISB) donated a collection of toys and vouchers to the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) yesterday at an event at the Women’s and Children’s Center at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) hospital.

Aina Fadillah, President of Leo’s Club, handed the donations to YASKA Vice President Tsara ‘Nawwarah binti Abdullah Chen, who is also an occupational therapist in the Pediatric Oncology Department. Leo’s Club Supervisor Sunil and members of Lion’s Club were also in attendance.

“What we have done so far is collecting toys and money from our own students at ISB who took the opportunity to donate,” said Aina Fadillah. “The money went to vouchers that the patient’s families could use to collect food for Ramadhan and their basic needs.”

She added, “I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the strength shown by the families under YASKA, as well as the workers who are helping them.

“We know how strong everyone has been here, and we hope what we contribute will help make the days a little better.”

ISB’s Leo’s Club consists of students from year 10 and is supervised by a member of the Lion’s Club, an international charity organization.

YASKA is a non-profit organization, located on the 6th floor of the Women’s and Children’s Center of the RIPAS Hospital, where they support children with cancer.
