KINGSTON, COUNTY LUZERNE (WBRE/WYOU) — Hundreds of local children previously ineligible for the COVID vaccine will receive their first injection this weekend with the help of a children’s practice in Kingston.
Children ages 5 to 11 get the child-approved doses in Wyoming Valley West high school.
The school district and PAK pediatrics work together for the clinic. They are willing to give thousands of reduced-dose injections to all children, even if they are not enrolled in the Wyoming Valley West School District.
“We have a decent turnout. We were here for two hours and I have already vaccinated over 250 children with an easy flow, no waiting, no queue,” explains Amy McGlynn, clinical manager at PAH pediatrics.
The free childhood vaccine clinic will resume tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wyoming Valley West Middle School.
Other age groups can also get the COVID vaccine on the site and you do not have to register in advance for an injection.
