WVU Medicine to begin offering pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinics Nov. 8 | WVU Medicine

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Medicine will begin offering the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 5-11 on Monday, November 8.

A total of 500 appointments will also be available Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon at the WVU Medicine vaccine clinic in the former Sears location in the Morgantown Mall.

No walk-in appointments are accepted. The availability of appointments is based entirely on the supply of vaccines; distribution is currently controlled by the state and federal government.

Appointments can be scheduled via MyWVUChart or by calling 855-WVU-CARE.

Children who currently have COVID-19 are not eligible for the vaccine. Anyone who thinks their child may have COVID and has symptoms consistent with the illness should contact their primary care provider and get a test. WVU Medicine COVID-19 test locations and hours can be found online here.
