A Stanford University pediatrician has pleaded guilty to sending sexual messages to a 16-year-old girl, San Mateo County prosecutors said.
Dylan O’Connor, 35, pleaded Tuesday against distributing pornography to a minor and faces up to three years in prison if convicted in February.
O’Connor contacted the girl via social media and began sending pornographic photos of herself and asking for photos, prompting her to call the police, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
The Redwood City Police Department took over communications with O’Connor, who wanted to meet her. An undercover cop organized a meeting for February 5 this year and O’Connor arrived with a blanket and condoms. He was arrested and admitted to having a sex addiction, prosecutors said.
O’Connor, who remains out on bail, will be required to register as a sex offender. His attorney was not immediately available for comment on the case.
