MADISON, Wisconsin – Madison and Dane County Public Health is giving children more options to get vaccinated this week.
PHMDC is offering more appointments for children ages 5-11 to receive the Pfizer vaccine at their clinic at the Alliant Energy Center.
So far, the clinic has been providing about 200 booster doses per day. As of Tuesday, the clinic has expanded its capacity to provide approximately 400 pediatric doses per day.
“We’ve been planning for this moment for months,” Covid-19 vaccine deputy Sarah Hughes said in a statement on Tuesday. “First get the Arena Clinic off the ground to allow for new booster dose approvals and clear the way for our 5-11 year olds to have the space they need to get vaccinated.”
Parents can make an appointment at publichealthmdc.com/vax, or with a healthcare provider or local pharmacy.
