Pediatricians sound warning over long-term impacts of COVID-19 in children

While many children who tested positive for COVID-19 showed mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, medical experts have expressed concern about the growing number of people with lingering effects months after contracting the deadly virus.

During a virtual town hall hosted by the Pan-Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) on Thursday evening to address concerns about COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, McMaster University, Canada , dr. Narendra Singh was among the doctors who spoke about increasing cases of “prolonged COVID” and its impact on child development.
