BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital held its annual holiday toy store on Saturday.
The hospital has been organizing the event for eight years. This year they wanted to bring the toys directly to the needy.

Two hundred and fifty families were allowed to choose two toys and have them wrapped in gift paper on the spot.

“COVID has hit really hard in Baltimore City and with many of our families, so we wanted to spread a little cheer earlier this year,” said Rachana Patini, the hospital’s director of Community Benefit.
More than 6,000 toys were distributed, ranging from games to books, dolls and puzzles. Mount Washington worked with local schools and community partners to make this possible.
