Kids flashlights, dumbbell handles top Recall Roundup

TULSA, Oklahoma — There’s a wide variety of items on this week’s recall, including some that could end up under your Christmas tree.

Halo is recalling flashlights from children’s projectors because a child could disassemble them and get to the batteries, creating a swallowing and choking hazard.

The flashlights must be taken with you and parents can contact Halo for a full refund.

Impex Fitness is recalling its barbell handles, recognizing that the locking collars can slip, drop the weights when held perpendicular to the floor and pose a risk of injury.

Customers should discontinue use and contact Impex for a free set of replacement locking collars.

Procter & Gamble announced last week that it had voluntarily recalled a handful of Old Spice and Secret spray-on antiperspirants due to the presence of a cancer-causing chemical.

The Food and Drug Administration says P&G issued the recall after detecting benzene in its spray-on products. The FDA says it has linked benzene to cancers such as “leukemia and blood cancer of the bone marrow” and other blood disorders.

E-filiate is recalling wireless headphones that can overheat and pose a fire and fire hazard.

Users should immediately stop using the headphones and contact E-filiate for a free replacement.
