NEW YORK — In this video interview, Melanie l. Brown, MD, a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins, discusses the impact of the pandemic on health care providers’ wellbeing and the need for self-care plans.
“The current pandemic has really brought mental health issues to the forefront,” said Brown, who is also chair of the Division of Integrative Medicine for the AAP.
Brown said a self-care plan can be simple: “One, set your intention; two, have a conscious appreciation for those things you really love; and three, practice things like mindfulness.”
