The Gunners’ quitter made a young supporter’s Christmas after surprising a fan with a home visit courtesy of My Shining Star, a childhood cancer charity.
The German shot-stop left 9-year-old James a star after arriving on his doorstep, outfitted with a signed shirt, goalkeeper gloves and chocolates.
Leno and his wife Sophie spoke at length with James and his family and also posed for photos during the trip to Kent to show their supporter to the youngster being treated for a cancerous tumor.

James has been going through a rough patch of late as he went through chemotherapy treatment while learning to walk again, but he seemed overjoyed on seeing the Arsenal stopper in a heartwarming clip uploaded to social media.
Commenting on the meet and greet, Leno posted: “It was a pleasure to surprise this special little fighter”, accompanied by a strong arm and a love heart emoji.
Arsenal’s No. 2 isn’t the only Premier League star to have given his time to the charity, which supports families going through the emotional and financial hardships of childhood cancer.

“There was no obvious reason why I was gone, but it had nothing to do with my performance,” Leno said of being ousted by manager Mikel Arteta earlier this season.
“London is very beautiful – Milan is also not bad and closer to my home Stuttgart. I’m not seriously thinking about that yet. I feel comfortable at Arsenal and in London.
“Only if nothing in my situation changes by the winter would I have to think about things – what option do I have, how can I proceed?”
