ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – The delta variant proved that COVID-19 was much more of a threat to children than it was in the beginning.

That is why pediatrician for infectious diseases Dr. Kenneth Alexander said parents should have their children aged 5 to 11 vaccinated as soon as injections are available to them.

“Only trade the children you love!”

“We need to get over that kind of magic number of 80%, and that’s based on how contagious this is,” Alexander said. “And kids are a big part of that.”
