ESTERO, Fla. – It’s time to grab a stuffed animal, go to the Hertz Arena and let it fly!
The Florida Everblades will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss when the Trois Rivières Lions come to town on Saturday night.
This may be the only occasion when it’s okay to walk around with a teddy bear in public as an adult. That’s because the proceeds from teddy bear throws benefit children at Golisano Children’s Hospital as well as other charities. Fans are encouraged to come to the Everblades game tomorrow night with a stuffed animal and try it out on the ice.
Fans are encouraged to toss their teddy bear or stuffed animals onto the ice after Blades’ first goal against the Lions. Proceeds from the competition, including the special jerseys worn by the team, will go towards childhood cancer research.
Tickets for the match are still available. More information can be found on the Everblades website. Puck drop is at 7pm
