Costs families €15,300 a year to deal with child cancer diagnosis – Highland Radio

According to new research, it costs families an average of $15,300 a year to process a childhood cancer diagnosis.

The Irish Cancer Society says medication was cited by parents as a significant expense, as well as travel, mental health care and one-time costs such as wigs and headgear.

In Ireland, approximately 200 children are diagnosed with cancer each year.
