Chris Taylor & Girlfriend Visit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Patients

Los Angeles Dodgers players won’t be able to interact with members of the organization during the MLB lockout, let alone represent the team for community events, but Chris Taylor and his girlfriend took it upon themselves to reach out to the patients of the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

Taylor and Mary Keller partnered with the hospital to create a virtual appearance with children on the clinical floor of our Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute. CHLA shard video of Taylor and Keller talking to Christian, expressing his gratitude for the super rescuer.

“I just wanted to thank you for signing with the Dodgers again,” Christian began. ‘We needed you. We need you. You are one of the great players on the team, so thank you for that. It means a lot.

Taylor thanked Christian, who then revealed that he was at Dodger Stadium for his first walk-off home run of his career. Taylor’s blast gave the Dodgers a crucial victory over the Colorado Rockies in September 2018.

Also not far from Christian’s mind were Taylor and the Dodgers taking the World Series. “Congratulations on winning in 2020,” he said. “It was a big problem. I had a lot of fun partying and stuff.”

In addition to Taylor, Justin and Kourtney Turner have supported Children’s Hospital Los Angeles through financial contributions and special events. Justin Turner teams up with CHLA to have patients design special cleats each year for Childhood Cancer Month.

Report: Taylor didn’t consider money

While there was no lack of interest in Taylor, he reportedly shared how lucrative a contract he got was not a primary factor and that there was a strong desire to re-sign with the Dodgers.
