Celebrating the holidays with handbells

A pediatrician shares her favorite winter holiday traditions.

For many people, the holidays are a time of tradition, whether it’s singing Christmas carols, matching Christmas morning pajamas, or making recipes that have been passed down through the years. Alexandra Yonts, MD, an attending physician for pediatric infectious diseases at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, told Contemporary Pediatrics how she gets into the holiday spirit by performing in a handbell choir and making her family’s fudge recipe.
