The classification makes Straub the top 5% of national hospitals, while also receiving top awards for lung and stroke care. Straub is also the only hospital in Hawaii to receive Healthgrades 2020 America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stomach Care and General Surgery Awards.

A member of the hospital family, the Queen’s health care system, the Queen’s Health Center is the largest private hospital in Hawaii. It is licensed for 575 emergency care beds.

According to the US Hospital Directory, there were 28 hospitals in Hawaii by 2020. There are hospitals in six of the 131 islands of Hawaii.

Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston). Texas Children’s is considered to be the largest children’s hospital in the country, with 465 beds in use.
