Levittown – Barbara Hartnett, of Levittown, passed away in her home on Thursday afternoon, November 11, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. She was 60 years old
A lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County, Barbara had graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1979, received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Bucks County Community College, and had spent her nursing career at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren on the beach, swimming in her pool or wherever she could. She also enjoyed attending her daughter and granddaughters’ dance activities.
Wife of the late David C. Hartnett, she is the doting mother of Amy Wadsworth (Shane), Lori Brown (Brian), David C., Jr., and Christina Hartnett, and the devoted Nona to Jade Brown, Alexa, and Brody Wadsworth.
Daughter of the late Margaret Szogi, she is survived by her father, Frank R. Szogi, two brothers; Frank P., (Cheryl), Joseph A., (Wendy), and several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 10 a.m. to her service at 11 a.m., at the Beck/Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc ., 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA. The funeral will be private.
